Steve Davis was born in the SE London district of Plumstead. He rose to become one of the foremost ambassadors of the sport, winning an amazing 6 world championships in the 1980s. He played on the pro tour for 36 years, before losing his tour card in 2014. Davis, nicknamed The Nugget, still attends various snooker events and he is often used as a commentator when not DJ’ing in some trendy club.
