- 1965 David Roe was born in Derby, England. Roe played on professional snooker tour from 1986 until 2010. He reached a career-high as no. 13 in the World Rankings, and he is a four-time ranking tournament quarter-finalist. Following his demotion from the pro tour, he converted to Islam and moved to Iran where he became coach of the Iranian national team.
- 1977 Matthew Stevens was born in Carmathen, Wales. He became a professional snooker player in 1994 and he has stayed in the World Top 60 since 1998 with seven consecutive seasons among the Top 10. Stevens has won two of snookers prestigious Triple Crown-events, The Masters in 2000 and the UK Championship in 2003.
