Birthdays
1981 Martin Gould was born in London. Known for his distinctive round glasses, Gould first became a pro in 2003 but had to wait until 2008 before achieving some success, reaching the quarterfinals of the Six Reds. He won his first ranking tournament, German Masters, in Berlin in 2016.
1994 Hossein Vafaei was born in Abadan, Iran. Vafaei won the World Championship for amateurs in December 2011, which also gave him a pro tour card for the 2012/13-season. However, due to visa issues, he could only participate in very few tournaments that year. He received a dispensation for the 14/15-season and was also granted a visa. His best results to date has been a semi final in China Open and a quarter final in Northern Ireland open.
